William McKoy was hired as District Athletic Director at Summit Academy in December of 2011 after a two and a half year stint as Athletic Director at Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies. William was a two sport athlete at Northwest Halifax High School (Littleton, NC), excelling in basketball, and track & field. After high school, William enlisted in the US Army, with assignments in Virginia, Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq. Honorably discharged from the Army and ready to begin his coaching and athletic administration career, William moved to Detroit and began his college education at Wayne State University. While at Wayne, William worked as a student assistant coach with the men's basketball program from 2006-2009. William is married to his wife, Terri McKoy, and is the proud father of two sons, (William Jr., Winston).
