Boys/Girls Varsity Cross Country @ CSC Meet 1

Today the High School Cross Country team ran in their first race this season. We raced at Nankin Mills for our first Charter School League Meet. The boys’ team finished in first place earning the best score possible in a cross country race. We scored 15 points, getting the first five placements. This isn’t done often, and only the second or third time our team has done it! D’Anthony Shaw finished in first place with a time of 18:13, Ryan Greene was second with 19:06, and Freshman Dylan Brantley had a really strong first race finishing third with a time of 20:10. Chris Holman finished close behind in fourth place with 20:14 and Luke VanAssche in fifth place with 22:18. Jaylen Vecheta ran 24:07, Freshman Zechariah Martin ran 24:14, and Johnny VanAssche with 24:37.
In the girls’ race Lauren Pistotti finished second with a time of 24:57, Freshman Anaiia Simmons finished in third with 25:42, Alana Harrison ran 31:19 and Freshman Audrey Collins ran her first ever 5K, and finished in 33:52.
